Q: "What have been the biggest challenges you have faced in your ministry experience at St Patrick's? As we are in the Easter season, has this challenging experience turned into a life giving one?"
Well, working in this ministry at St. Patrick's has been a nice experience since the beginning but with a big challenge to me, and one of the biggest challenges was how to get used to the community at large at St. Patrick's, and this was all because of one biggest obstacle – that is FEAR. I had fear at the beginning and I thought I would not make it up to this time. But when I attended the parish gathering in March, we had a lot of discussion and one of which was the "what are the things making St. Patrick's not to grow". Among the answers was FEAR as a biggest obstacle and should be put aside first. Therefore, from there on, I took fear off during the Easter season and was able to go ahead with the preparation for the Stations of the Cross, and was able to make it without any fear. This has turned into a life giving one indeed and I think fear is out of my way from now on-wards.
It is always good to attend such events of gathering because we always have the opportunity to learn more from them and from our lovely elders of the community, it is such a nice experience indeed and I would love to attend as many as possible.
One thing that has been mentioned by my colleague Philippe, about the upcoming big event that is the Concert. I am excited about that and I cannot wait to see such a big event happening. I am proud to involve myself in organising the concert as well as being part of the team, I am sure everything will be alright and we need more prayers to make it work as expected for the development of our parish.
